Where is Allusion Shelties located?
We are based in Richmond, Texas a few minutes outside of Houston. My Shelties live in our home, and prospective puppy buyers are encouraged to visit and meet the dam and the environment their puppy was raised in.
Are Allusion Shelties registered with the AKC?
Yes. I breed AKC Shetland Sheepdogs. Registration documents the lineage of each dog and confirms it meets the recognized standard for the breed. Our champion, Winston, finished his AKC championship on August 3, 2025.
What kind of Shelties do you breed?
I breed both companion puppies and champion show dogs. Our current planning includes two tri-color girls and one tri-color boy expected in late August 2026. Every litter is shaped by the same priorities: excellent temperament, sound structure, and the Sheltie's natural desire to please.
How are your puppies raised?
My dogs live in the home. Puppies are socialized from early life with everyday household sounds, routines, and people. This in-home raising produces confident, adaptable puppies that transition well into companion and show homes alike.
How do I reserve a puppy?
The first step is a conversation. Call us at (281) 854-4204 to introduce yourself, tell us about your home, and learn whether a current or planned litter is the right match. Responsible placement always begins with questions in both directions.
Do you offer commissioned pet portraits?
Yes. In addition to breeding, Allusion offers hand-drawn commissioned pet portraits. Each portrait is drawn by hand from a reference photograph and makes a meaningful tribute or gift. You can commission a portrait through the artwork page on the source site.
Is the Shetland Sheepdog the right breed for me?
Shelties are intelligent, sensitive, and eager to learn. They thrive with consistent training, regular grooming, and time with their people. They are well suited to active families and individuals who want a devoted, trainable companion. I am happy to talk through whether the breed fits your lifestyle before you commit.
